Ursita Rural Inn

Ursita Rural Inn is located in Bucium, called the 'village of the daffodils'. In the springtime, when all nature flourishes again, the fragrance of daffodils, which grow all over the hills surrounding the village, waft over the old village of Bucium.

The Ursita Inn is an old farmhouse which introduces its guests to the magical atmosphere of the 19th century. The farm was renovated using strictly local, reusable materials and in total accordance and respecting the traditional architecture of the village.

The interior is decorated with icons, furniture and handicrafts gathered from all the people in the village. Everything is authentic and unique. Although rustic, the cottage provides all the necessary conveniences for a longer stay with your family or with your friends.

Bucium is also a unique mountain village, ready to reveal to its guests the thrill of the traditional mountain lifestyle, the historical testimonies and legends from the most ancient times.

Strolls in the area will lead you to large glades, to the Apuseni Mountains that guard the entrances into the old gold mines, rocky cliffs and Roman archaeological sites.

The rich tradition of the village still makes people wear the folk costumes, but only on special occasions. In the local's houses, remarkable gold jewellery, designed after the Tirol pattern, costumes sown in golden and silver thread, carpets, wiping cloths and various linen can be admired.

Ursita offers a kitchen equipped with all the facilities at your disposal. In the kitchen there is a traditional oven in which you can even try to cook bread or delicious pizzas on a wood fire.

If you prefer, the owner of the place will also offer you the option of ordering traditional dishes from the villagers and will serve them at the cottage. Prices are about 5 euro per course (starters, main course) and the delicious meals are cooked using organic products.

The bathrooms and the kitchen have running and warm water and there is also a washing machine, in case you need it. In the living room there is a large fireplace, perfect for story telling during the long, cold, winter nights. A large roofed over porch, looking over the river, offers a splendid view of the mountains.
