Maramures is a well hidden corner of Europe. In the middle of hills and rich valleys, the locals live their lives keeping the old, traditional, agrarian way of life. Their life may seem hard and simple at the same time, but is a millenary fight for cultivating, raising animals, working day and night, without many comforts or the help of machines. The village of Danesti, 15 km from Baia Mare (the greatest city in the close proximity) is known since ancient times for its curative thermal baths. The sulfurous springs of Danesti have been looked for even by the Imperial Court of Vienna, for medical treatments and as a relaxing place, during the interbelic period.
Secret Garden resort puts at the disposal of its clients all the facilities of a modern resort: conference rooms, restaurant, bar, sauna, fitness facilities, indoor and outdoor pools and 12 medical cabinets.
The medical treatments and the thermal baths are done under doctor surveillance. The medical packages include fizioterapeutical, magnetotherapy and hydromassage treatments.
The thermal baths are recommended mainly for healing women sterility.
