Harghita Land
Huskyland is situated in Harghita county. Harghita consists primarily of mountains, connected to the Eastern Carpathians, such as the Ciuc and Harghita Mountains. The mountains are volcanic in origin, and the region is known for its excellent hot mineral springs. Harghita is known as one of
the coldest regions in Romania, with snowy winters and hot summers.
Husky Lovers
A dog lovers family decided to put in practice their passion for dogs and sleighs and transformed this region into a place where you can wander, through snow and rough conditions, in a sleigh with huskies. If you are still looking for traces of the Yeti, this is the place to look for. We haven’t found him either, but it is a good excuse to lose track for as long as you feel comfortable. We can drive you for more than 200 km through valleys and mountains in this beautiful land of huskies.
After exhausting days in the snow we will provide your relaxation time with a thermal bath and a hot fresh cooked meal.

While supporting a Romanian small community, you can enjoy:
- relaxing in thermal baths in the middle of winter - temperature of water: 25 degrees Celsius
- visits to the husky fold;
- feeding and playing with the huskies;
- tasting traditional meals prepared in small, local farms.
- easy rides on snowmobiles.
All along the tour you will be accompanied by the instructor and the guide. The sleighs are carried by three or four dogs that have been trained before. They are also familiar with human presence. As an extreme package, for experienced visitors, we can offer a full week of adventure in the Harghita Mountains. You can choose to cover a distance of 350 km in the mountains,  carried by husky sleighs. You will sleep in the mountain huts along the way. We recommend this trip only to the most experienced visitors, who are aware of what rough conditions mean, and are ready to face them.
 

Sample itinerary:

Day 1: Airport transfer from Bucharest / Cluj-Napoca city and arrival in Harghita County. Meeting the local family that own the guesthouse. Traditional dinner and welcome schnapps. Invitation to test the thermal bath in the guesthouse.
Day 2: Getting familiar with the dogs and with riding the sleighs. Small tour of adaptation with sleighs around the village.
Day 3: start of the adventure. The Yeti is waiting for you to find him in the mountains. We promise it will be an exhausting day with great adventure and achievements.
Day 4: The adventure continues. The guide will take you through woods and valleys, to a hut in the mountains. You will get accommodation and food at the hut.
Day 5: Return to the Huskyland on a different route. Hot meal and thermal bath is waiting.
Day 6: Relaxation day. Feeding the dogs, visit to the village, easy ride with snowmobile or dog sleighs (it’s your choice).
Day 7: Back to Bucharest / Cluj Napoca. The airplane is waiting.
